In the highlands, where care was hours away
Village of Hope Hospital sits in the highlands of Uasin Gishu County, Western Kenya, near Turbo and Chebaiywa — just off a major international highway. For most people here, this level of care once meant a long, costly journey to a city hospital. Transport is scarce and expensive; for many, it simply wasn't an option. Being close to home is, for our patients, the difference between care and no care at all.
We serve patients from three counties — Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Nandi — a catchment of roughly four million people.
