Since 2013, Hope Matters International has put hands and feet to a simple vision: holistic care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of an underserved Kenyan community.

Who we are
From two observation beds to a growing hospital
In the summer of 2017, it became painfully clear we had outgrown our outpatient medical center — six patients were admitted on intravenous drips in a small room with just two observation beds. In 2020 we opened the expanded Village of Hope Hospital.
Founded by William & Michelle Kiprop, the hospital sits in the highlands of Western Kenya and serves patients from three counties — Uasin Gishu, Kakamega and Nandi. Today it is a 37-bed hospital growing toward 90, with an operating theatre, eye surgery, maternity and neonatal care, advanced radiology, a laboratory, pharmacy, and a mortuary.

501(c)(3) in the USA
A registered American non-profit (EIN 46-2372391). Every gift is tax-deductible per IRS rules, restricted to its purpose, and receipted. Checks and bank bill-pay are welcomed alongside online giving.
A Public Benefit Organization in Kenya
Kenya's PBO Act (in force 2024) replaced the historically loose NGO regime with mandatory independent audits, certified financial statements, public registration and anti-fraud controls. It means your generosity is governed, not just gathered.
